Anyone who helps improve your property, but who is not paid, may Record a mechanics’ lien on your property. A mechanics’ lien is a claim, made against your property and recorded with the county recorder. Liens can also affect your credit. To preserve our right to record a lien, we will provide you with a document called a ‘20-day Preliminary Notice.’

This notice is not a lien. This is only a notice to let you know, that in the event we are not paid, we may file a lien on your property.

The purpose of the notice is to let you know that the person who sends you the notice has the right to record a lien on your property if he or she is not paid.

Upon, final payment you will be provided with an Unconditional Waiver and Release of Mechanics Lien.

Please complete the following information. Your Project will not begin or work may be stopped if the form is not completed and submitted timely.
